Ventura County Farm Day FAQs

1. What is Farm Day?

   Farm Day is a day when over 20 participating Ventura County farms open their doors, enabling the public to learn about agriculture firsthand.

   Attendees pick the locations they want to visit, and drive themselves to the farms. Each farm has fun-filled activities for the entire family to enjoy.

2. Do we drive to each farm?

   Yes, you pick and plan your whole day.

3. How many farms can we expect to visit on Farm Day?

   In order to enjoy everything each farm has to offer, you should plan to go to two, possibly three farms on Farm Day. It will depend on which farms you select and where they are located.

4. What should we wear for Farm Day?

   Dress according to the weather. You’ll be outside for most of the day, so make sure you wear hats and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun. Wear closed-toe shoes since you’ll be walking on farmland!

1. Is Farm Day free?

   Yes. There is no charge to visit the farms. However, you can purchase Farm Day merchandise or tickets to the end of day BBQ.

2. What are the hours?

   10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

3. What can we expect to see at each farm?

   Every farm is different, but the farms will feature a number of family-friendly activities such as free produce, min-tours, agricultural book signings, and food and beverage samplings.

4. Will food be available at each farm?

   Many of the farms will offer taste testing. Or, you can pack a lunch and enjoy it during your Farm Day adventure.

5. Will there be a barbeque again this year?

   Yes! The Farm Day BBQ will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. You can purchase tickets, when they become available, here.
